Hello Hello on this cold and breezy January day!

I have been very neglectful… BUT, as the first post of 2014, I promise I will do better! 😉

Yesterday was a wonderful day. My first Reborn baby doll of 2014 was completed here in my dolly room in Hampshire, UK, and I must say, she is a PEACH! Not literally, of course, but oh my…. her little chubby cheeks are so cute and peachy I could just squeeze them! So, may I present Lucy, created from the Adelynn kit by Emily Jameson;  Ltd to just 350 worldwide! Lucy is #21.

Character kits and baby tongues!

Another baby bundle has been completed and is on ebay now. This little cheeky thing is one of the Prototypes of the ‘Joy’ kit, sculpted by Samantha Gregory.

 

What a character she is! I love painting kits like this as she has open eyes (one of my favourite things) and I love painting tongues. Yes, I know that sounds odd, but I enjoy making the smooth plain vinyl into something that looks soft, textured and dribbley! For Joy, you can see the tongue is a different colour to the lips and it has raised bumps like a real tongue. They’re not big bumps but just enough to mimic taste buds.

The first reborn doll kit for Pritty Kits™ is Aimee-Rose and I’ve just reborned her into this beautiful ethnic AA baby. She is on ebay now (ending 4th August 2013).

This kit is wonderful to work with – the vinyl is lovely and soft with the head a little firmer for ease of rooting hair. She is a big chubby baby at approx 22″ but her head isn’t too scary to root, not like an Arianna Schick doll or Lila by Romie Strydom! They are big! (but beautiful).
